Link Dayton Bike Share

     In this portion of our STEMersion, we ventured out into downtown Dayton, where we learned about Link Dayton Bike share. We met the executive manager and we viewed a short presentation with a power point about the Link Dayton Bike Share, and a few other Bike tips.
     Link Dayton Bike share is a program where you can rent a bike with your credit card or a Link card for a maximum of 24 hours before you gain a fine.

    At the Link Dayton Bike Share stations, you can rent a bike for a total of 24 hours and use it for a large variety of things to do, such as go to the grocery store, stop by to deliver something, or just use it as a fast short means of transportation. At the Dayton Bike Share shops, you can purchase a Link card, get your bike fixed, and learn more about what the Bike Share program has to offer. 

Tip: I would be careful when using the Link Dayton Bike Share bikes, because they are very heavy and if you try to re position yourself by lifting it, it may cause you some trouble.

    The most memorable experience there was when we got to see how the bike system worked, and checking out a bike to see how heavy it was and what was attached to it, such as the two baskets.
